MSN- The Atlanta-based chain said it’s working with suppliers to build up an adequate supply for its nearly 1,800 restaurants. It is asking suppliers to work with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to verify that no antibiotics are administered on the chickens at any point. The use of antibiotics to fatten up farm animals and prevent disease has become a growing concern in recent years. The Food and Drug Administration has warned to decrease antibiotics in meat because the practice could lead to the growth of antibiotic-resistant germs. Many consumers simply don’t like the idea of eating meat that has been fed antibiotics, and serving meat raised without antibiotics can be a selling point for companies. Tim Tassopoulos, Chick-fil-A’s executive vice president of operations, said in a phone interview that the company planned to keep customers updated on its progress and eventually advertise its conversion in its restaurants.

I am probably one of a billion people who don’t really care what happens to the food they eat, I just want to make sure it tastes good and doesn’t give me explosive diarrhea. I love animals and the thought of how they are treated like shit really bothers me, but I am not going to be a vegetarian so it just comes with the territory of enjoying chicken, steak/beef, and ham. But Chick-fil-a is still totally off base from what their customers want, and that’s food on Sundays. No one stopped eating those delicious #1’s with sweet tea and BBQ because you guys hate gays. No one will stop because you give chickens antibiotics (steroids). As long as it stays delicious, we’re good. But what the fuck is up with no chicken on Sunday? Jesus ate food on Sundays and I’m sure he would’ve loved your nuggets so cut the shit and open those doors on God’s day (football/hangover day) and increase your profits by 10 trillion percent!
