ESPN- Quarterback Brandon Weeden wants to leave the Cleveland Browns, a source familiar with the situation told’s Vaughn McClure. The 2012 first-round pick (22nd overall) has played in 23 game the past two seasons, throwing for 23 touchdowns and 26 interceptions with a combined passer rating of 71.8. It’s possible Weeden was going to be cut regardless of what he wanted as it might be difficult to land a draft pick in a trade for a 30-year-old quarterback.

This is the one time I actually respect Brandon Weeden. What is the one rule about dealing with the media, get ahead of them and control the situation before they do. Oh you are one of the worst QBs in the league and you’re like 50, say YOU want to leave before they say THEY want you out. That’s a power move and I’m sure he will be scooped up by an Arena team moments after he walks.
Just ask Michael Scott- Here’s the thing. When a company screws up, best thing to do is call a press conference. Alert the media and then you control the story. Wait for them to find out, and the story controls you. That’s what happened to O.J.
