USA Today- Listen up, tabloid reporters: Alec Baldwin is saying “goodbye to public life. … I’ve lived this for 30 years, I’m done with it.” In a long piece that appeared under his byline Sunday night on New York Magazine’s Vulture blog, Baldwin, 55, writes that being labeled a “homophobic bigot” in the media after an altercation with a paparazzo in November 2013 was the last straw for him as a celebrity. “I loathe and despise the media in a way I did not think possible,” Baldwin writes. “This is the last time I’m going to talk about my personal life in an American publication ever again.”

Everyone has their tipping point and I guess being called a homophobic bigot was it for Alec Baldwin. And as much as I respect his view on not wanting to be constantly surrounded by photographers and people getting in his and his wife’s faces, this isn’t going to happen. The world we live in today is all about “normal” people finding out how celebrities live and that will continue to be the norm until these super rich people just stop living. I mean he does know 90% of celebs live and work in LA and are constantly photographed. Maybe they won’t get right in your face with the camera but there will be 50 cars sitting outside of his house waiting for someone to make any kind of move. Especially now that he went on this rant, the TMZ dude will amp it up just out of spite. So for all of these “I don’t want to be famous anymore” people (Alec, Shia, etc) you need to either grow the fuck up or move to a place where it’s so fucking cold and terrible no one wants to follow you there. People only give a shit about Sarah Palin when she comes to the continental US because Alaska fucking sucks. You can hate all the gays you want there Alec.
