ABC News- Police in Connecticut say Paul Simon and his wife, Edie Brickell, have been arrested on disorderly conduct charges. Police sources tell Eyewitness News that the incident began with a hang up 911 call from the Simon household. When officers arrived, they found evidence of physical violence, describing the injuries as very minor. Both Simon and Brickell were arrested for disorderly conduct and summoned to appear in court Monday morning. Authorities say the charges will most likely be dropped, and there are counseling courses that can be taken. This is first incident like this at the residence, and the chief of police says they nice, low-key residents. Simon is a 12-time Grammy winner and a member of The Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame – as half of the duo of Simon and Garfunkel and as a solo artist. Brickell’s “What I Am,” recorded with her band the New Bohemians, was a hit in 1988. The two were married in 1992.

I don’t think I fully can comprehend this kind of story. When you listen to “She’s Got Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes” you don’t exactly picture a guy who can get into a physical altercation with his wife. But then again every girl in the world has that bitch switch that can go off one too many times and then one half of Simon and Garfunkel will lay the almighty beat down on a hoe. I would honestly give up a months pay to see Simon fight Garfunkel. Both in mock turtlenecks.
