ESPN- Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant was named league MVP on Tuesday, collecting 119 first-place votes. It had been widely anticipated throughout the league that Durant would earn the award for the first time in his career. Heat star LeBron James was second, with six first-place votes, while Blake Griffin, Joakim Noah and James Harden rounded out the top five. Behind Durant’s team-high 33 points, the Thunder advanced to the second round of playoffs with a 120-109 victory in Game 7 on Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies. By avoiding a Game 7 defeat, Durant dodged the most uncomfortable MVP news conference since Dirk Nowitzki’s in 2007. Nowitzki was forced to collect his MVP trophy in ’07 after the Dallas Mavericks, who went 67-15 that season, were bounced in the first round by the Golden State Warriors. Durant led the league in scoring during the regular season with 32 points per game. He becomes the first player to win both the scoring title and the MVP award in the same season since Allen Iverson did it in 2000-01, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Everyone expected this and now it’s official, Kevin Durant is the MVP of the NBA. Sure, LeBron could get the god damn thing every year because without him the Heat would be nothing, essentially making him the most valuable player in the league because that team wins titles. But Durant had a fucking great year and it’s good to see a guy from a small market take the award and it’ll be fun to see those two battle it out for more awards as the years go. How’s that one feel Trailblazers, Greg Oden doing pretty good for you? Yea, that’s a 10 year old joke, suck it.

Happy 29th today to Chris (and Cliff) Paul. Chris threw himself a nice party last night on the court catching fire and going 8 for 9 from long distance. And make sure you watch the video and check out these shots. They’re middle of the bucket cannon balls. A few are so center cut the net barely moves. Would have really liked to see him keep shooting even after he missed his first three ball in 9 attempts. He had another 5 for 7 in him I think.

I’m not really sure where this series is headed. I honestly did not see the Clippers rolling in and destroying OKC like that. Sure the Thunder had another hard series against the Grizzlies but game 7 was a blow out so they shouldn’t be that tired. And besides, the Clippers HAVE to be gassed after everything that’s happened to them in the last 2 weeks with Sterling and their 7 game series against the Warriors. So that means there must be matchup problems somewhere for the Thunder. Westbrook usually plays pretty well against Paul and Chris usually doesn’t hit 8 threes in a night either so I’m saying this is a stolen game by a superstar. Griffin will win a game, and so will Durant and Westbrook. So that evens the series at 2 apiece. Where do the other 2 wins come from? I feel like Griffin will literally fight his way to a narrow win outside of his massive double-double stolen win or JJ drains a 3 at the buzzer. I feel like Rivers is the better coach in the series so maybe another win swings their way. Never thought I’d talk myself into thinking the Clippers make it to the Western Conference finals.

They just caught Roy hibbert outside for an interview lmaoo great win tonight boys..

I’m really bad at posting Instagram pictures so just bear with me, I’m sure you can just go check out his page and find all this stuff.

Look at Agent Zero just punking the shit out of Roy Hibbert. And it’s all true. Add in the fact that Gilbert is making like 10 times as much as Roy and it makes it even better.

For me personally, Kevin Hart is one of the top 3 stand ups out right now. His last 3 specials have literally killed and raked in the cash just like his movies that all open at #1 in the box office. But he is falling into that ‘too much exposure’ trap that a lot of people get sucked into. I completely understand getting your money while you can but you also don’t want people to get sick of you. He is fucking hilarious on stage and his movies are ok, his 2 minutes in 40 Year Old Virgin were probably his best, but all these little bits and appearances he does aren’t really good. He pops in and out of MTV Award shows like he owes them gambling money and he is forced to be there and now this commercial, it’s too much.

Skip Bayless. That’s it. I’ve literally tried 4 times to start this blog and I don’t know what to say about him. He’s an annoying asshole on TV but that’s his character and that’s why he has a shit ton of money. It works. He and Stephen A. Smith (played better by Jay Pharoah on SNL) are basically just two old guys (white and black) who disagree on literally everything. Football, basketball, the color of the fucking sky. The one thing they agree on is when they get weird about religion on air and make the athlete/rapper they have on stage really uncomfortable. All that aside, if Skip Bayless likes someone to the point of no return and I am a GM, I will not draft them. He would’ve murdered someone to get the point across that he thinks Tebow can win a Super Bowl. And that’s last week. He STILL thinks Timmy has the best QB skills of all time. Look how that turned out. Tim beat the Steelers and then got sodomized by Tom Brady and the Patriots in the second round of the playoffs and he hasn’t played since. Now Skip thinks the same thing about Johnny Football. Ruh-roh. Drake doesn’t have enough swag to pull him out of that nonsense. Bayless is the Cooler of the NFL draft which means that anything hot and exciting that gets touched by his seal of approval is destined to fail. Sorry Johnny, you had a good run.

PS Fuck Skip Bayless having a 90 year old women’s face and a jacked body. Go eat a donut and maybe you will see why Tebow can’t be a real NFL QB

ESPN- Mike D’Antoni has resigned as coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, the team announced Wednesday night. D’Antoni’s resignation ends the brief tenure of the Lakers’ third coach in less than three years. He took over from interim coach Bernie Bickerstaff early in the 2012-13 season and finishes 67-87 with the team. Mike Brown lasted just 71 games after replacing 11-time NBA champion Phil Jackson before the 2011-12 season. The Lakers and D’Antoni have been discussing his future with the team since the season ended, multiple sources told ESPN.com’s Ramona Shelburne. Last week he asked them to pick up the team option on the final year of his contract in order to empower him to coach without constant speculation about his job status.

Well I think it’s time for me to start watching Laker basketball again. After reading that you can think whatever you want, I’m not a bandwagon guy. I just really hate Mike D’Antoni. I hated him when he was a rival coaching the Suns, thought he was done after that but he just keeps getting jobs. He found the right place right time in Phoenix and I don’t think he will find another situation like that. Definitely not with a bunch of old Laker guys, picking and rolling isn’t really in the cards. I would give a left nut to see Phil come back but now that he is with the Knicks I think we can all write that out but who knows, crazier shit has happened. But this is the most important time for the team. The Clippers situation is a fucking wreck. LeBron will be a Free Agent next year (Kobe’s last). They have a top 10 pick in one of the best draft classes in a long time. Sign the right coach and bring in a great draft pick and the sky is the limit. Bron Bron flopping in Purple and Gold baby!

Take it easy Magic, you’re buying the god damn Clips

USA TODAY- Floyd Mayweather Jr., the world’s top pound-for-pound boxer, said Tuesday that he and some other investors would be seriously interested in buying the embattled Los Angeles Clippers from Donald Sterling, who was banned for life by the NBA for racist comments and may soon be forced to sell the franchise by NBA owners. “I can’t come in here talking about Mayweather only going to get 3% or 4%,” Mayweather, a huge Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers fan, said at the MGM Grand. “I got to get a solid percentage. “But do we want to buy the Clippers? Yes we do. We’re very, very interested in buying the Clippers.”

Well it has begun. Right after all Donald Sterling’s comments were made public, everyone assumed Magic Johnson would get his group together and buy up the Clips. But now that it’s official from Adam Silver that Sterling is banned for life, everyone with millions of dollars is coming out of the woodwork to throw their name in the hat to own the team. Floyd Mayweather, who clearly has the money, is apparently getting together with De La Hoya and other investors to put the funds together. David Geffen, the music mogul, has had interest in the past in the team and now is back in the news. And I guess Rick Ross (celebrity net worth of 25 mil. Come on playa) wants to own a share and Diddy (he has the money) also wants his name in there. Personally I think if you put together Floyd, Diddy and Magic that would make a really bad ass trio of owners that would become the new place to want to play in the NBA. First it was in Miami with Bron Bron, then Brooklyn with Jigga, now it’s LA and not for the Lakers but with Diddy and the Money Team.

Fucking hilarious that Ricky Rozay wants in. Stick to Wingstop home boy
