Adam Schefter just reported on SportsCenter, Tony Romo will leave football and go to the booth. This is all good news if you ask me. First of all, the guy has kids and probably wants to walk when they are older. Makes sense. Secondly, he was most likely leaning towards the Broncos and that would’ve made this Raider fan really pissed off. Sure Romo is Mr. Glass in real life but when he isn’t getting touched/injured, he is a really good passer and could make them a monster threat in the AFC West. Thirdly, this motherfucker has made something like 150 mil in his career, who wants to wake up and get your face beat in when you have that dough,

Perfect storm for retirement. Goodbye Tony.

A Possible Franchise Quarterback That OTHER Team’s Fan’s Actually Wanted?

A Free Agent Signing Whose Name I’ve Heard Of?

A Favorable Draft Grade Given By People Outside Of The Browns Front Office?

Where Are Teams Going To Pass Against This Secondary?

A Good Running Back NOT Past His Prime?

The national media is doing everything they can to tear the Browns apart for “mishandling” Manziel already. They need to destroy this kid and team before the season starts otherwise what was the point of building him up in the first place? I think for the first time in my life as a Browns fan I can say that I think the team has made enough moves in the offseason that will translate into wins during the season. They can’t fuck this up now. They’re signing talent, not just warm bodies. Coaching is important and all but somewhere down the line you need to have talent on your team and the Browns simply didn’t have much for too long. We get excited about a fucking kicker for Christ’s sake! Josh Cribbs was the most exciting player for years because he ran back a zillion kickoffs during his career. Now there’s actually a pool of talent to choose from when talking about team strengths. We’re either building a strong playoff contender or the 2011 Eagles. Thank god they cut Vince Young before he called us the “Dream Team Part Deux”

untitledBleacher Report- Johnny Manziel has left College Station early and will now head to Cleveland as he hopes to leave his mark on the National Football League. The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner’s time at Texas A&M was so sensational that one Aggies official wants to rename Kyle Field—which was built in 1927—in honor of the quarterback. Texas A&M regent Jim Schwertner talked about what he would like to see happen to the stadium while the Aggies gave an update on the $450 million renovations going on at Kyle Field:

ESPN’s Darren Rovell reported last month, Manziel already filed to trademark “The House That Johnny Built.” Manziel put Texas A&M back on the college football map during his two seasons on campus. If one Aggies official has it his way, Johnny Football’s legacy will never be forgotten.

If there has ever been a move where people acted before thinking, this is it. I understand all the great things Johnny did on the field for the Aggies, and off the field with jersey sales. But the guy barely even left the stadium and you want to change the name? Come on people, use your heads. He didn’t win a championship, I don’t think he even won an SEC title. He was electrifying and fun to watch and fell to the 22nd pick in the draft. In about 10 years, maybe 15, no one is going to give a fuck about Johnny Football at A&M so naming the stadium “The House that Johnny Built” is only going to hammer home that he literally built the stadium with his jersey/ticket sales and he didn’t earn a penny of it. Bad idea. Maybe start with a food truck and then work your way up from there.
PS And if I am Johnny, I’m trademarking EVERYTHING with my name in it, including Johnny Depp’s name. Fuck him, he’s made enough, make it while you can still run around the football field before Suggs ruins your life mid November.
PSS Thank God the fucking Gators didn’t do this with Tebow’s name. There wouldn’t be a pebble in Gainesville without his likeness stamped on it.

Happiest I’ve been as a Browns fan in 12 years. That’s why it doesn’t matter if he buys a mountain of cocaine and ends up face down dead in a toilet tomorrow morning. I will go to bed a happy Browns fan tonight. Didn’t even think it was possible.

This is a cool move but take a look at the face that cop is making. Just watching this millionaire midget walking around in an asshole’s suit, easily handing out more than he makes in a year like it’s nothing. He job is to walk Welker to his car and protect him incase a drunk asshole wants to give him the Talib treatment 2.0, probably making 15 bucks an hour, and Wes is just throwing it in his face. From what I’ve seen Welker is a cool dude but he better have lined that guy’s pockets when they left the building or I’d expect a few ‘random’ DUI checkpoints on the way home.

TMZ Sports- Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston was reportedly busted in Florida last night … for allegedly stealing crab legs from a grocery store. The Florida State quarterback was caught with the legs while leaving a Publix supermarket … this according to SB Nation. According to the report, Winston was never arrested — but did receive a misdemeanor citation and was released. Of course, it’s not Winston’s first brush with the law — he was investigated for allegedly raping an FSU student last year … but was never charged with a crime after officials determined there was not enough evidence to get a conviction.

Well there really isn’t too much to say here. This has to be one of the dumbest things to EVER get in trouble for. Stealing crab legs from a Publix, a place normally known for it’s fantastic subs. But what the fuck Jameis? I lived in Gainesville so I know how the system works, you can go in any restaurant, sign some stuff, take a picture with the owner and you probably won’t have to spend a penny. Steaks, crab, lobster, whatever your heart desires. So why steal from a store? And secondly why do it yourself? Is this like an Aaron Hernandez gang initiation thing? Couldn’t you have just told any of the hundreds of Jameis hang-ons, ‘hey dawg, I’m hungry for some crablegs’ and just make them do it? All the athletic talent in the world can’t fix how stupid people are I guess. I hope they were at least King Crab.

ESPN- The cost of being an NFL fan just got more expensive. Nike, which makes the official league uniform, has decided to raise prices on two of the three types of jerseys it sells. Nike did not announce the increase in price, but retailers, including the official league online store, started charging more on April 1. The Game jersey, which is the cheapest replica, will still cost $100. But the price of the Limited jersey, which has embroidered twill numbers and letters in place of the silicon printing on the Game jersey, has jumped from $135 to $150. The Elite jersey, which is the closest to what the players wear on the field and boasts being water repellent and has a tighter, tailored fit to the body, went up nearly 20 percent to $295, up from $250. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said that Nike and the retailers, not the league, determine the prices. But sources told ESPN.com that it was Nike executives alone who made the decision, implementing the new prices as the minimum prices retailers could sell the different style of jerseys for. Nike spokesman Brian Strong said that the brand offers three tiers of the jerseys to serve a variety of consumers, but would not specify reasons as to why the price changed occured. “When you have a monopoly, you can charge whatever you want,” said Matt Powell, analyst for SportsOneSource, a sports marketing retail tracking firm. Nike is entering its third year of a five-year deal of being the official uniform of the league. In 2012, when Nike took over from Reebok, which had the official jersey deal for a decade, prices on the cheapest adult replica rose from $85 to $100, though Nike promoted that the materials it used were different. Partly because of the rise in cost over the years, the temptation for fans to knowingly buy counterfeit jerseys for a fraction of the price has increased. “If I’m a counterfeiter, with the prices going up, I now have more wiggle room,” Powell said. While Nike has been successful in charging premium prices for their products, Powell said he was surprised at the huge increase for the Elite jersey. Nike is protected by the fact, Powell said, that his company’s data shows that more than 75 percent of the jerseys that are sold are the Game jerseys, which aren’t going up in price.

Jesus Christ when will people learn? When ticket sales to games go down, you don’t raise the price on a jersey. You need to follow these trends executives! It’s not the 90’s anymore when wearing your jersey somewhere was the equivalent of wearing a suit or your fanciest shirt. This is the age of the internet where I have the ability to look on millions of websites for something as close to the real thing as possible to save myself 100 dollars. I can get a sewn jersey, most likely in the warehouse next to Nike, that looks almost identical for around 45 dollars. Including shipping. If I shell out 300 bucks on anything it’s not something that I can possibly spill wing sauce, bbq sauce or cum on(hey they win sometimes). Fucking Nike wanting to charge all that money for a player’s name and number that will be gone in a year or two due to trades/injuries/murder charges. So suck on that Nike and the NFL. You force the consumer to buy DirecTv and Nike due to their monopolies and we will share the user name and passwords/watch online illegally and buy from NFLjerseysfromChina.com.

Could be Nike, could be a fake. Can't tell and don't care
